Lukasz Larsson Warzecha is a renowned photographer, cinematographer, and creative director whose storytelling bridges the worlds of science, exploration, and environmental advocacy. With nearly two decades of experience in documentary and commercial media, his stories, which inform, inspire, and engage global audiences on our time’s most pressing environmental issues, have been published in Science Magazine, The New York Times, Oceanographic Magazine, The Guardian, and many others.
As a commercial photographer, Lukasz worked on assignments alongside some of the world’s best outdoor/adventure athletes for National Geographic, Mountain Equipment, The North Face and others.
His long-form photo essay “Inside an Ice Stream,” published in Science magazine in February 2025, was highlighted by the American Association for the Advancement of Science as a must-read.
Over the past several years, Lukasz’s work has expanded into broader science communication and outreach. He has collaborated with the European Space Agency, the European Commission, and other European research institutions on content that brings complex climate data to the public eye.
In 2024, he created a large-format exhibition, Stories Trapped in Ice – Polar Observations, in collaboration with ESA—a visual journey into cutting-edge polar and climate research. That same year, he spoke at the Impact Equity Forum hosted by the European Investment Fund, addressing the importance of climate science and public engagement.
