The DKS Speaker Awards are built around a single question: does this speaker consistently make events better?
That means we’re not tracking follower counts or measuring who generates the most pre-event buzz. We’re looking at the work itself, the content, the delivery, the ability to hold a room of senior executives to the same standard as a stadium crowd, and the value that’s still evident six months after the event has ended.
Every shortlisted speaker is assessed against the same criteria. We look at event programmes and booking histories, verified testimonials from the organisers who hired them, video footage of real keynote performances, published books and frameworks, and independently sourced client references where we can get them. Where the evidence is thin, the speaker doesn’t make the shortlist. It’s straightforward.
One thing worth saying is that no speaker or agency pays to be considered, shortlisted or recognised here. The awards are funded by Dubai Keynote Speakers because we think the industry needs a credible benchmark, and a benchmark that can be bought isn’t one.

We accept nominations from event organisers, HR and talent teams, speaker bureaus and speakers themselves. Self-nomination is fine and doesn’t affect how a speaker is assessed. We’re evaluating the evidence of the work, not the route the nomination took to reach us.

No. There’s no entry fee, no shortlist fee and no charge of any kind associated with the awards. That’s a deliberate choice and not one we’re planning to revisit.
Do speakers have to be based in Dubai or the UAE?
No. Eligibility is based on active presence in the international speaking market. Some of the strongest speakers working in this region also work in Europe or North America and travel regularly.
What evidence do you use to assess speakers?
We prioritise evidence of real-world delivery such as event footage, organiser testimonials, booking histories, published content and independently sourced references. A strong social media presence with thin evidence of actual keynote performance carries very little weight in our process.
When do nominations open for 2027?
